The Addiction Prevention Coalition, a local agency dedicated to fighting drug abuse and providing treatment resources for area youth and adults, invites the public to participate in a Drug Prevention Walk. The walk will be held at Jefferson State College, Valleydale Road Campus at 8:00am on Saturday, November 2.
Protective Life is sponsoring the walk dedicated to preventing drug abuse among teens in the Birmingham area and lunch will be provided. There is no entry fee, and personal care items, canned goods and food items are requested to be distributed to local drug treatment and recovery centers.
Leading the effort to eliminate addiction in Central Alabama, the Addiction Prevention Coalition provides treatment resources for youth and adults in our area and strives to raise awareness about the drug epidemic among our community. The Drug Prevention Walk will take place at the Health Sciences Building located at 4600 Valleydale Road in Birmingham.
