Recovery Stories

Through learning how to control triggers and getting help and fellowship through support groups, Glenn has been sober for over 147 days.

I began my journey into a sober way of life only a short time ago.  With the help of the Salvation Army, Fellowship House and A.A. and have not found in necessary to drink these last one hundred and forty-seven days.

It has become very clear to me that with the help of God and the fellowship of A.A., I now have a real chance to live a sober life and I am grateful.  Just last week one of my triggers was tripped with the tools I have learned in A.A. Anger did not cause me to pick up that first drink.

If anyone out there reading this needs help with an addiction, I beg of you to seek help in one of the many programs that are available. "It works."  May God keep you and bless you always.

Glenn received help at Birmingham Fellowship House. To learn more about this program, please visit their page on our resource directory.
