Recovery Stories

I never had any significant problems with recreational drug use until my mid-thirties. Someone introduced me to methamphetamines and my life has been a downward struggle every since. Meth didn’t change just what I did, it changed who I was. It made me do things I never would have done before. The consequences of my addiction affected my relationships with my wife, two children, parents, employers, and law enforcement. My brother talked to me about a program called Teen Challenge. At first I said no, but after some thought it was the best decision I have ever made. My family is proud of what I am doing and can see that I am a different person now that Jesus Christ is the leader of my life. My life is proof that Romans 10:13 is true, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
